Kiewit Rebuilds Bridge in Michigan with DymaxRail 100T Machinery Cart

DYMAXRAIL CUSTOMER STORY
When Kiewit Infrastructure needed a trusted partner to design and produce a specialized machinery cart for a major railway project in Michigan, they turned to DymaxRail.
The Manistee River Railroad Bridge — a 100-year-old structure near Manton, MI — was in critical need of replacement. Due to the bridge’s remote location, Kiewit required a reliable way to transport heavy machinery and structural components directly along the rail corridor to access the jobsite.
DymaxRail engineered and built a 100-ton capacity Machinery Cart to move large equipment and bridge structures safely and efficiently on the railway — providing the mobility needed to support construction operations in a location where conventional transport methods were limited or impractical.
Kiewit hauled a variety of equipment and supplies to this remote worksite.
Cranes, drilling and foundation equipment, bridge girders, and more.
The DymaxRail Machinery Cart is the ideal transport solution, with a heavy-duty steel frame, Apitong hardwood deck, hydraulic ramps & stabilizers.
Kiewit is one of North America’s largest construction and engineering organizations, delivering infrastructure and industrial projects across the U.S. and Canada. Its work spans transportation, bridges, rail, power, water, and heavy civil construction.
