Custom Built RoadRail 34000 GVWR Tag Trailer with Hi-Rail Gear

DYMAXRAIL CUSTOMER STORY

Metro North Railroad is one of the busiest railroads in the world, making it crucial to minimize downtime.

This RoadRail trailer with integrated hi rail gear gives maintenance crews faster track access and the ability to reach remote worksites by rail.

DymaxRail matched the rear axle spacing to the rail gauge for more even tire wear. The trailer also includes a hydraulic power unit, air brakes, tie-downs, grouser stops, and was built to meet Metro North’s clearance requirements.

Lee Tebbutt (DymaxRail Designer) and Carl Williams (DymaxRail Product Support) had a good time delivering this custom-built Tag trailer to Metro North Railroad. It was their first time in The Big Apple.
