Its patent-pending wedge-locking adapter system creates a strong, stable rail platform without cutting, welding, or permanently modifying the host machine.

Installs in days and can be removed when rail work is complete, allowing the excavator to return to off-track service.

Available for Cat 313/315, Deere 135/145, Komatsu PC138 and additional 15-ton class machines.

HYDRAULIC REQUIREMENTS
The Rail Rider X2 operates directly from the standard excavator travel and auxiliary controls. For 15T-class excavators, a factory blade configuration is required, as the blade hydraulic circuit is utilized to raise and lower the railgear system.

INSTALLATION
Center frame and railgear arrive pre-hosed and ready to install. Most setups take a few days — at your shop, the Dymax factory, or a partner dealer location. An excavator car configuration is also available.

FAQ

No new controls to learn. The X2’s hydrostatic rail drive operates through the excavator’s existing travel controls, giving the operator full control of speed, braking, and performance on rail. 
Yes. The Rail Rider X2 is available with hydraulic rail clamps and stabilizer systems, allowing operators to perform many tasks directly from the rail position without constantly repositioning the machine or setting the excavator down off the rail. 
Yes. DymaxRail is actively developing dealer and support channels for domestic and international markets. 
Traditional conversions often permanently modify the excavator undercarriage. The X2 takes a different approach with a removable attachment-based system designed to reduce machine alteration while improving flexibility and preserving machine value.
