The DymaxRail Basket Tine Grapple separates debris from dirt as you load. The tines close around ties, rail, and broken concrete while loose dirt and fines drop through the gaps.
This grapple fits 15- and 20-ton hi-rail excavators and mounts on your existing coupler. Put it to work on undercutting spoil, tie-renewal cleanup, and debris from storms or derailments.

HYDRAULIC REQUIREMENTS: Your machine will require (2x) circuits for operation of the grapple (open and close) and the rotation system. CIRCUIT 1 – Grapple Type: Two Way Flow: Max GPM / PSI – 15-20 / 3,000 CIRCUIT 2 – Rotator Type: Two-Way Flow: Max GPM / PSI = 8 GPM / 3,000 ALTERNATE CIRCUIT – If your machine does not have enough circuits, an Electro-Hydraulic Valve Kit + needle valves can be ordered. Requires installation on the cable harness. These are offered for 12 or 24-volt machines. Kits are set up on grapples before shipping. NOT SUPPLIED: Not provided with jumper hose lines to the machine auxiliary lines. |

It sorts and loads debris on the railway right-of-way — spoil from undercutting and cribbing, old ties after renewal, and storm or derailment cleanup. The skeletal jaws retain the large material and let dirt and fines fall through, so you load clean debris in one pass.
The tines (11 per side on 4-inch spacing) hold ties, rail, and rubble while smaller material sifts through the gaps. There’s no second step to separate spoil from debris.
