One cart, two jobs.
The DymaxRail Side Dump Rail Cart places ballast or rip rap on either side of the track. When the material work is done, the tubs bolt off, and the same cart can haul machinery and supplies. Both models (8×24 – 25 ton and 8×40 – 35 ton) have hydraulic stabilizers with bolt-on derail guides to keep the cart planted while dumping.

| No. The cart is towed by a hi-rail truck or railcar mover and connects through standard air brakes with gladhand fittings. An onboard gas hydraulic power unit with a variable-speed pump drives the dumping, loading ramps, and stabilizers — so unloading doesn’t rely on the tow vehicle’s hydraulics. |
HOW DOES IT STAY STABLE WHILE DUMPING?
