Repairing Rail Tracks After Colorado Wildfire

DYMAXRAIL CUSTOMER STORY

Dymax Rail Rider and Hydraulic Clam Cribbing Bucket

A Colorado wildfire destroyed nearly all of the ties and bridge supports along 10 miles of shortline railroad in 2017. Western Railroad Builders tackled this emergency using DymaxRail attachment solutions.

DYMAX RAIL RIDER

Operators accessed the remote worksite by rail using this hi-rail attachment for backhoe loaders. It provided enough clearance to stabilize the machine while performing critical maintenance tasks.

HYDRAULIC CLAM CRIBBING BUCKET

This versatile attachment cut through cemented ballast with 20 tons of force and helped the team replace hundreds of ties each day. With 360-degree rotation, the bucket also lifted rails and removed material between the ties.

The tracks were swiftly restored, minimizing service disruption.
