World's First and Only 360° Undercutter Attachment Rotation

The Dymax Ballast Blaster is the world's only ballast maintenance work tool with full 360° continuous rotation. With this flexibility operators can position the machine to work from either side of the track and at sites where tracks are run close together.  It also greatly improves management of spoil piles allowing operators flexibility and maximum cutting speed and performance.

Ballast Blaster Hydraulics - No More Costly Machine Modifications!

We've worked with every major machine manufacturer and have produced more than 300,000 work tools. We design our work tool to the standard, stock machine. YOU DO NOT NEED SPECIAL HIGH COST HYDRAULIC MODIFICATIONS ADDED TO THE MACHINE.

Dymax Ballast Blasters require a two way circuit, with a case drain line for operating the cutting motor and chain adjuster group (if applicable), while a secondary two way circuit and case drain is required for operating the bar swing function.

Dymax can supply an electro-hydraulic valve package for operating the bar tilting function*, if required, or a third set of two way flow lines can be installed on the machine. (*The electro-hydraulic valve package only requires the use of a 24v electric service cable connected to a switch in the cable.)
